REXOR offers both laminated and “mono” coated films, that can be sealable/peelable or weldable, with or without barrier property, with or without anti-fogging, in various thicknesses. These films are designed for the lidding of trays used in Ou-of-Home catering or the food industry. They are microwave and conventional oven reheat compatible.
REXOR’s lidding films range includes several film solutions to suit your different applications:
REXFILM® FOR PET MONO
These mono-material coated films, seeable and peelable on the mono-PET trays on the market (APET, CPET, rPET…), are declined with or without transparent AlOx barrier under the brand names REXFILM® Initial, Premium, Excellence and Prestige. The high barrier grades REXFILM® Excellence and Prestige are dedicated to the lidding of PET trays processed with modified atmosphere (MAP application).
REXFILM® UNIVERSEL
These versatile films are sealable and peelable on all types of trays: plastic (PET, PP, PE, PS…), biosourced (PLA, cellulose or molded pulp), hybrid (cellulose, pulp or cardboard with or without coating or polymer liner). These films are available in mono-film versions coated with a heat-sealing lacquer or in laminated complex, weldable/peelable versions. Polyolefin-based lidding films with density <1, sellable/peelable on PET trays (CITEO compatible => more informations on CITEO website) are also available on request.
REXFILM® BIO
This film, made from over 80% biobased material content, is produced on a biodegradable PLA film base. It is sealable/peelable on the recyclable or compostable trays, in pulp or cardboard, with or without liner. This film is also compatible with cold storage and reheating in microwave and conventional oven.
REXFILM® FOR REUSE
Thise range of film, currently under development, meets the objectives of the AGEC law, in particular, the ban on single-use food containers in the catering sector from 1 January 2025. REXFILM® FOR REUSE film solutions are suitable for lidding reusable trays proposed on the market, including polymer trays made of PP, Tritan… or stainless steel trays.
These sealable/peelable films leave no residue on the tray after film’s peel off, making easier the industrial cleaning of the trays for reuse.
REXFILM® PET / CPP ST
These laminated complex available in weldable and sterilizable versions, are dedicated for PP tray lidding. They are available in full PP (BOPP/CPP) versions on request.
All our coated film grades, in particular REXFILM® FOR PET MONO and REXFILM® UNIVERSEL are also available on a recycled rPET film base, made from food-grade Post-Consumer Polyester obtained either by an ESA-certified mechanical recycling process or by chemical monomerisation recycling.
Thanks to its expertise in the functionalising flexible substrates, REXOR can also develop tailor-made printable lidding solutions for your specific applications and requirements.
